The Stars On 45 Still Burning In Your Mind !
Who remembers the craze for hit medleys in the early 80s ? Stars On 45 (Or Starsound as they were known in some parts of the world) hit the charts in 1981 with The Stars On 45. Several successful follow ups appeared and spawned a whole host of other medley makers (Beach Boy Gold, Startrax and the most famous of all, Tight Fit). Despite Starsound’s perfect rendition of the Beatles’ Liverpool accents on their first hit, they originated from Holland and this week’s Website Of The Week is devoted to their work. Find out more on the 80s Lunchbox, weekdays at midday on The Cheese.
Streaming outage this evening *Update*
Hi all. We apologise for the outage on our internet streams this evening. We’ve been doing more troubleshooting on our on air computer.
Tonight we replaced our memory, but this did not work. We’ve now traced the fault back to the motherboard and we’re currently backing up our data. Streaming will be available once again in approx 1 hour.
If you’ve experienced problems with our internet streams over the last week, this is due to the PC problems we’ve been having and we hope to have it sorted out as soon as possible.
*update* Streaming is now back up. Thanks for your patience.
