Trevor Horn – Sound of the 80s

Without record producer Trevor Horn, the 80s would sound quite different.  Trevor started his career producing punk bands in the 70s, had a brief career as an artist in his own right in The Buggles and Yes.  However his work as the producer of 80s music for acts as diverse as Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Dollar put a lasting stamp on the sounds of the decade.  We’ve made Trevor’s Official Website our Website of the Week on The 80s Lunchbox, weekdays at midday on The Cheese.

Real Songs

We’ve featured websites of some of the best 80s artists in our Website of the Week slot on the 80s Lunchbox (weekdays from midday), but where would they be without great songs ? This week, we spotlight Realsongs, the official site of top hit songwriter Diane Warren who, on her own and with collaborators, has written countless hits for top artists and is still working the magic on the hits of today. Diane’s success started in the 80s with songs for Starship, Aswad, Cher, DeBarge and many more.

Tom Petty

Tom Petty began his musical career in the 70s.  By the end of the 80s he had chalked up an impressive collection of hits as a group member, solo artist, collaborator and member of the supergroup The Travelling Willburys.  We’ve made Tom’s Official Site our Website of The Week this week on The 80s Lunchbox, weekdays at midday on The Cheese.
