To celebrate International Children’s Day, if you’re aged 16 or under you’ll get into ZEALANDIA – Karori Sanctuary for FREE on Sunday 1 March!
The theme of this year’s Children’s Day is ‘listening and talking’, so what better place to go than Wellington’s award-winning wildlife sanctuary!? This is the perfect place to discover our native wildlife together as a family and to hear to the sounds of New Zealand as it used to be. Listen to birdsong not heard on the mainland for over 100 years, and the wild Wellington wind whispering through our beautiful regenerating forest. Then talk to our volunteer rangers and staff about ways YOU can help bring our native wildlife back to Wellington!
