Evening concert with the New Zealand Secondary Students Choir.
Wednesday 23 January 7pm-8pm

The internationally-acclaimed NZSSC are holding a twilight benefit concert to raise funds for Karori Sanctuary.
Enjoy some of the best young voices in the country, together with the sound of the Sanctuary’s unique dusk chorus at this one-off benefit concert next to the Sanctuary’s beautiful lower lake. Ticket holders will be given exclusive admission to the Sanctuary from 4pm onwards, allowing plenty of time for an early evening stroll and picnic supper before the concert begins.

An afternoon of picnics and poetry

Sunday 3 February – 2pm-8pm

Round up your friends and family, pack a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of poetry and prose readings from acclaimed writers with a passion for the land, including:

o Jenny Bornholdt – Poet Laureate
o Geoff Park – author of Nga Uruora
o David Young – author of Our Islands, Our Selves
o Dinah Hawken – recent Poet in Residence at the Botanic Gardens
o Hinemoana Baker – Paekakariki-based writer/performer
o Hilary Elfick – renowned UK poet

There will also be activities for budding poets throughout the afternoon.
