Powertool Records is proud to annouce a national acoustic tour of two of their prestigeuos artists Otis Mace (Guitar Ace) and american Greg Franco.   Otis Mace is a long standing artist from NZ’s alternative music scene, having performed and recorded his angular brand of indie pop since the early 1980’s. Hit’s like ‘She Makes Me Feel Better Than Townes Van Zandt’, ‘Effort, Money and Time’ and ‘Pumpkins Are Actually Rocks’ remain etched on the memories of many a student radio listener. Now after close to a decade living and performing in Europe, Otis returns with a new album ‘Bird In Bush Road’ and a new EP ‘Two Black Cats’ timed to coincide with this tour.   Greg Franco is a songwriter/musician from Los Angeles who has been performing in various US outfits such as Ferdinand, Blasphemous Yellow and his current band Rough Church. Being a fanatical fan of early Flying Nun bands, Greg teamed up in 2004 with David Kilgour and Robert Scott of the Clean to make an album under the title of Greg Franco and the Wandering Bear called ‘Southpawwest’. After a successful tour in 2007 with his band Rough Church, Greg returns again, this time solo, to promote his new album ‘The White Dove Of The Desert’.

Joining Otis and Greg for the South Island leg of the tour is that great proponent of ‘Hoodoo Folk’ and fellow Powertool Records stablemate Dragstrip.  The tour kicks off on 21st May in Hamilton and finishes in Auckland on the 8th June.  Tour dates and venues: https://www.powertoolrecords.co.nz/gigs.htm
