Signing On With UB40

Birmingham, England in late 70s – a band of unemployed musicians named their new band after the name of the social security benefit card.   When UB40 made their first album in 1980, it was appropriately called Signing Off.  Number one hits, successful collaborations and projects throughout the 80s and 90s followed and they continue to play to big audiences.  We remember UB40 this week by making their Official Website our Website Of The Week on The 80s Lunchbox (weekdays from midday on The Cheese).
